NBTS will ensure a rapid scale up of services including blood donation and testing in a quality manner in all NBTS Centres using SBCC strategies to mobilize communities towards recruting, managing and retaining low risk donors. Improve quality systems, monitoring and evaluation and the establishment of Electronic Donor Record System (EDRS) for blood donation documentation and reporting. Partner local Community Based Organisations (CBOs) to mobilize communities for blood donation. Improve the knowledge of blood safety among secondary school pupils by intoducing blood safety into school curriculum through the School Blood Safety Programme (SBSP). Partner media organisations to improve public awereness of blood safety and the mandate of NBTS. Improve the quality of transfused blood in hospitals by partnerning hospitals through the Hospital Linkage Programme (HLP). Improve the quality of NBTS tested blood through training and re-training of NBTS staff.
