The cooperative agreement will complement the Ministry of Health and Child Care effort in HIV prevention, care and treatment. ZACH will implement, monitor, and assure quality on Male Circumcision services within 15 districts assigned to date, and Adult Treatment, HIV Testing & Counselling and PMTCT services within 36 sites in the programme to date. Goal of the program is: To Improve and Expand HIV&AIDS prevention, treatment, care services, collection and utilization of surveillance data as well as implementation of evidence based public health interventions within a network of church-related hospitals and clinics and their immediate communities in Zimbabwe.

Project Objectives

1. To circumcise 10,000 males aged between 13-49 years in 15 districts

2. To have 100 % of 36 church related hospitals and clinics providing TC and PMTCT services as part of the integrated package of HIV/AIDS continuum of care.

3. To have 100 % of 36 church related hospitals and clinics approved as OI/ART sites providing TB/HIV, STIs services as part of the integrated package of HIV/AIDS continuum of care.

4. To provide in-service training for a minimum of health care workers and community outreach workers

5. To strengthen the existing M&E systems at church related hospitals to monitor patient management and programming effectiveness

6. To strengthen the capacity of ZACH and its church-related institutions in the management of HIV&AIDS, PMTCT, VMMC and Tuberculosis programmes.
