Children’s AIDS Fund-Uganda (CAF-U) implements the New Hope Project through seven HIV clinics namely; Family Hope Centre Kampala (FHCK) in Kampala with 3,287 clients in Care; Family Hope Centre Jinja (FHCJ) in Jinja, with 3,052 clients; Alive Medical Services (AMS) in Kampala with11,337 clients; Bushenyi Medical Center (BMC) in Bushenyi with 3,282 clients; Kabwohe Clinical Research Center (KCRC) in Sheema with 3,696 clients; Namugongo Fund for Special Children (NFSC) in Wakiso with 229 clients; and Nurture Africa (NA) Pediatric Medical Center in Wakiso, with 650 clients.

New Hope will implement interventions for the provision of care and support to people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, as well as services to reduce new infections in the country in through working in the seven facilities and surrounding communities.

The interventions they will offer include: HIV Counseling and Testing (HCT), ART and care, TB diagnosis and treatment, Positive, Health, Dignity and Prevention (PHDP), OI management, Primary and secondary sexual prevention, OVC care and support, HMIS support, nutrition and food security, community and adherence outreach, immunization, family planning services, cervical cancer screening and STI diagnosis and treatment.

The main goal of the project is to provide comprehensive HIV/AIDS care, treatment and prevention services in indigenous health facilities of Uganda, thereby strengthening capacity to achieve sustainability, as well as, national and PEPFAR goals.

CAF-U will ensure that quality improvement and assurance of services is central to implementation, program monitoring and evaluation of services is conducted. CAF-U will coordinate operations including administrative and oversight functions over implementing health facilities.
