Funding for Biomedical Prevention: Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (MTCT): $0

plus ups: The Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) through its Call to Action program is making substantial contributions to the overall objective of preventing HIV infection among infants and linking the identified HIV+ mothers and their families to comprehensive care and support. Results from the FY07 SAPR indicate significant increases in uptake rates in several of the sites supported by EGPAF. As the Call to Action is ending in FY07, EGPAF was not included in the FY07 COP. With a recent extension through March 2008, EGPAF will now be able to absorb additional funding and continue to support significant increases in uptake along the continuum from testing to referral for HIV positive women for treatment.
