NACP collaborates with multi-sectoral organizations and the Global Fund to develop and implement comprehensive national strategies for quality HIV prevention, care, treatment and support in public, private, and community based settings. NACP implements the HSHSP III strategy to strengthen the coordination and management role of regional and district authorities working towards sustainable outcomes and local ownership. NACP’s priorities and activities are detailed across nine programs: HTC, IEC, TB/HIV, adult and pediatric care and treatment, PMTCT, VMMC, CBHS, and SI. NACP leverages resources to support activities related to the following: key populations, PEP, GBV, HRH, Nutrition, PHDP, and laboratory services. In addition, through this IM, GBV funds will be channeled to the RCH unit within the MOHSW that leads all clinical GBV services in the country. NACP also strengthens its own capacity to coordinate the health sector in the implementation of SI objectives through a national M&E system. In FY13, NACP complied with EA and S/APR reporting and participated in site monitoring visits in seven regions.

NACP’s activities are not measured with FY 2013 EA DSP UEs; however, expenditures reported were in line with programmatic priorities and approved budgets. NACP is a TA partner at national level hence does not report on any indicator.

Mechanism Target Information

Since COP2014, PEPFAR no longer produces narratives for every mechanism it funds. However, PEPFAR has now included performance targets or indicator information for each mechanism based on the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) system. The MER guidance is available on PEPFAR's website https://www.pepfar.gov/reports/guidance/. Note that COP years 2014-2015 were under a previous version of the MER system and the indicators and definitions may have changed as of the new 2.0 guidance.
