UNAIDS will continue to support multisectoral HIV/AIDS monitoring and evaluation systems to meet data requirements at the regional, council and district levels for both Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. The UNAIDS collaboration aims to mobilize, coordinate and efficiently utilize resources to expand high-impact strategic information systems in collaboration with the national government partners. UNAIDS is committed to working mainly with TACAIDS and NACP in the mainland and ZAC and ZACP in Zanzibar. UNAIDS will also work with WHO and PEPFAR/T collaboratively to maximize high quality SI support and will provide strategic direction to stakeholders in the HIV multisectoral response to enhance effective monitoring of the national HIV and AIDS programs. UNAIDS will coordinate and provide technical assistance and guidance to Tanzania to produce HIV and AIDS estimates through Spectrum. Using 2014-15 COP funding, UNAIDS will support the Government in Mapping and size estimation of key population and in development of integrated key population surveillance protocol. Also UNAIDS will continue to coordinate the Global AIDS Response Progress Reporting(GARPR) work which is done yearly. The 2014 COP will also support the Development Partners Group for AIDS secretariat.

Since COP2014, PEPFAR no longer produces narratives for every mechanism it funds. However, PEPFAR has now included performance targets or indicator information for each mechanism based on the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) system. The MER guidance is available on PEPFAR's website https://www.pepfar.gov/reports/guidance/. Note that COP years 2014-2015 were under a previous version of the MER system and the indicators and definitions may have changed as of the new 2.0 guidance.
