The Association Public Health Laboratories (APHL) will collaborate with CDC and FMOH to provide guidance and technical assistance in the implementation of the National Medical Laboratory Strategic Plan, develop an operational plan for implementation in Nigeria. APHL will also support the scale up of Laboratory Management Training using the APHL Foundations of Laboratory Leadership and Management curriculum. APHL will support training through the pool of in-country trained trainers who graduated from training of trainers (ToT) course to ensure capacity building for the laboratory network in Nigeria.

The Association Public Health Laboratories (APHL) has significant expertise and experience that is relevant to assist CDC efforts to support PEPFAR priority objectives including strategic planning for national laboratory networks. APHL training activities always include strategies to build sustainable capacity development for the ministries of health to manage laboratory projects.

Since COP2014, PEPFAR no longer produces narratives for every mechanism it funds.
