The Mozambique Strategic Information Program (M-SIP) project supports goals and objectives of the PEPFAR AIDS Free Generation’s Strategic Information goal as well as GOM’s HIV Acceleration Plan goal to improve data quality and use of HIV data. The M-SIP project works at a national level and in every province of Mozambique. Activities will target data quality of reported PEPFAR clinical and community indicators through a standardized Data Quality Auditing (DQA) intervention. Strategies for this mechanism to become more cost efficient over time include joint DQA visits with central, provincial and district level health professionals in addition to training and technical support. The monitoring and evaluation plan for these activities includes benchmark deliverables measured at specified delivery dates set by USG Mozambique, including completion of # DQAs per province per indicator and training/supervision visits completed. Reporting will occur quarterly or more frequently.

Mechanism Allocation by Budget Code for Selected Year

Mechanism Target Information

Since COP2014, PEPFAR no longer produces narratives for every mechanism it funds. However, PEPFAR has now included performance targets or indicator information for each mechanism based on the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) system. The MER guidance is available on PEPFAR's website https://www.pepfar.gov/reports/guidance/. Note that COP years 2014-2015 were under a previous version of the MER system and the indicators and definitions may have changed as of the new 2.0 guidance.

This mechanism has no published performance targets or indicators.
