Peace Corps (PC) works in all regions of Guyana targeting the general population with a primary focus on youth but collaborates with other USG partners to serve MARPS as well. As part of Peace Corps’ comprehensive program, three activity areas are of primary focus: (1) In-service training (IST) for Peace Corps Response Volunteers (PCRV) and their counterparts, focusing on the progress PEPFAR funded PCRVs are making in relation to individual assignment objectives, as well as the development of approaches and strategies for capacity building and institutional strengthening that PCRVs employ to support their counterparts and host country agencies, (2) ISTs for three girls camps (Camp GLOW), and (3) VAST Grants to enhance the efforts of PCRV that are focused on HIV/AIDS assignments at their host country agencies. The activiteis in this plan has been developed to align with PEPFAR’s Transition Plan for Guyana.

Mechanism Target Information

Since COP2014, PEPFAR no longer produces narratives for every mechanism it funds. However, PEPFAR has now included performance targets or indicator information for each mechanism based on the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) system. The MER guidance is available on PEPFAR's website https://www.pepfar.gov/reports/guidance/. Note that COP years 2014-2015 were under a previous version of the MER system and the indicators and definitions may have changed as of the new 2.0 guidance.

This mechanism has no published performance targets or indicators.
