This is a continuing activity. The Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE) is a local non-governmental organization providing MARPs-friendly HIV testing and counseling (HTC), prevention from mother to child transmission (PMTCT), sexually transmitted infection (STI) management, integrated family planning, and, more recently, ART services in Ethiopia. It currently delivers services through 8 confidential sex workers STI clinics in seven large urban settings, 8 model MCH sites, and 22 SRH sites where PMTCT services are offered. One additional confidential clinic site is proposed near one of the model sites to provide ART to CSWs. A centrally controlled web-based monitoring and evaluation system from confidential sites will provide behavioral and biomedical sentinel surveillance data and monitor program performance. In light of new site-specific testing data, FGAE will restrict support to SRH facilities who identify at least X new HIV cases per year according to site-specific APR reporting. The FGAE program supports the goals of the GOE's National Strategic Plan (SPMII) and is aligned with the goals of the GOE and USG HIV/AIDS Partnership Framework and Global Health Initiative. It is a core PEPFAR activity helping to prevent new infections and save lives.

Mechanism Target Information

Since COP2014, PEPFAR no longer produces narratives for every mechanism it funds. However, PEPFAR has now included performance targets or indicator information for each mechanism based on the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) system. The MER guidance is available on PEPFAR's website https://www.pepfar.gov/reports/guidance/. Note that COP years 2014-2015 were under a previous version of the MER system and the indicators and definitions may have changed as of the new 2.0 guidance.
