U.S. Embassy Mbabane's Public Diplomacy section is an integral part of the PEPFAR team. Beyond local and international media relations and public diplomacy activities undertaken as a core function of the PD section, the PEPFAR team develops high visibility PD activities to cultivate leaders in the arts as spokespeople for PEPFAR prevention messaging and to raise awareness of the PEPFAR Swaziland program.

Arts Outreach Program- collaboration between local arts organization and rural school children to work on youth empowerment through the arts. Workshops to take place in rural schools that center around telling the story of the impact of HIV/AIDS through the eyes of children to be followed by an arts exhibition in Mbabane, attended by government officials, religious leaders, NGOs working on HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment.

Spoken word poetry training and national competition-grant to poetry association to train young Swazis to express themselves through poetry and then participate in a national competition of spoken word poets in the capital city. Youth Empowerment as a way to protect yourself against HIV/AIDS.
